AeroShnell RM–TS is a shell for a Rear view Mirror with Turning Signal included for your velomobile.

Printing

  • PETG for most parts, 0.2 mm resolution or better
  • print LED_Traeger and AntiReflektor in black to prevent the LED from illuminating the whole shell
  • 2 parts in TPU (see their object names) – find settings you like

Additional parts needed

  • round mirror of 50 mm diameter
  • yellow 8 mm Power LED
  • some wire
  • M5 bolt
  • round 10×6 mm neodym magnet
  • 10 mm neodym magnet ball

Assembly

take the main shell and insert a round 10×6 mm magnet

glue in part MagnetStopper to keep the magnet in place

take a yellow 8 mm Power LED, insert it into LED_Traeger with legs bent, solder on wire (not shown here)

screw on LED_Traeger and LED inside the shell – no glue! Route the wire outside through the front bore in the foot.

now take BlinkiGlas and glue on AntiReflektor

… and screw both onto the shell

put a 10 mm magnet pall inside SpiegelTraeger

glue SpiegelSchutz_TPU onto the back of the mirror and then both onto SpiegelTraeger

now put SpiegelTraeger inside the shell, the mirror should be adjustable to any angle

put TPU_Fuss unter the foot for compensation when mounting AeroShnell on a non–planar surface; inside the velomobile shell, GegenPlatte can be used as a (guess what) counter plate; BohrSchablone_PLA (not shown here) is a drilling template

use a M5 bolt to mount AeroShnell to the velomobile and connect the wires to your vehicle's electronics.

Have a good ride and please post a make if you build one of these – include a photo of AeroShnell on your VM.
