[Updated 2024-10-14: released versions: “blank lid, symbol lid, fraction circles lid, circle fractions lid” , renamed files to: “pie fractions lid” and “case body”, added new folders for organization]
Notes:
- An alternate design aimed for larger parts for younger children can be found here:
- Simple to print fraction circle designed to teach kids in math
- Learn basic fractions, equivalency, and angles through pie slices
- About 3mm thickness per piece
- Comes with a lid for the pie case body
- Both the lid and case body can be used as a dish for a fraction circle
- All the pie pieces can be carried in the container
- Includes: 1/1, ½, ⅓, ¼, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/9, and 1/10
Printing:
- I printed with 0.4noz, 0.2layerh, 10% gyroid infill, mix of PLA, but mostly PETG
- It is suggested to change the bridging angle (45 degrees recommended) so that the orientation of the pie slice's lettering that overhang will print in better quality (For Prusaslicer>Print Settings>Infill>Advanced>Bridging angle)
- If desired, color changes start at 1.00mm (and change back after another 1.00mm to original color) for lettering to stand out (be sure to double check the color in the slicer!)
