@MattH_148110 oh great points! I did not even think about a 90 degrees HDMI! Thanks again Matt and keep up the awesome work
@iamstevedavis_212961 Thanks for the like and comments. I appreciate the great feedback.
I honestly didn't experience the depressed eject button until I read your comment. There's an easy design change I can make.
About the tight fit. I don't have my printer dialed in 100%, so I used a file to take a little off the sides. I can see that the next revision needs to be a tad less tight there.
About the HDMI port: I made the design decision to keep the dock low profile, and if you want an HDMI or DisplayPort adapter there it would need to be a right angle plug instead of a straight plug. It's why the bottom hole has a weird notch that makes it a little wider for the second dongle.
As for making it taller to accommodate a straight plug, I'll think about that one, the cable I purchased off Amazon is $16, which is the price of budget spool of PLA.
Printed in matte PLA. No issue with bridges, no supports or raft. 5/5. Thoughts on the design if it matters:
Very tight fit. It actually depresses the release button it's so tight and caused one of the expansion cards to come out. Not sure how I feel about that but it's not going anywhere at least. Another thought, the bottom hole is not deep enough to handle anything that sticks out like HMDI. I have my USB dongle and power on that side but it would be sweet if it was tall enough to fit a display cable. See my pictures for what I mean!
