@PeterFarell I actually just did that with a different print today just to give a box a bit more heft. Was a pain with such a long print but worth it in the end. It is my new filament scraps box. https://makerworld.com/en/models/490638#profileId-404093 Also yes good advice on the not overfilling. I ruined my first try by trying to weight the bottom (only the walls had big enough spaces for it). Thought I broke my printer with all the bbs slinging everywhere and the print head jumping like crazy, but it was fine after I cleaned it all out and recalibrated fortunately. (edited)
@PeterFarell also infill needs to be spacious enough so bbs fall through soaces
@PeterFarell don’t overfill. Leave space so bbs don’t interfere with print head
@Tensegrity_2640520 go out and buy a jar of bb’s for a BB gun. Pause your print while you can still see the infill, say halfway through the print. Pour bb’s into infill. Resume print. You now have a weighted pen holder. No need to add extra infill
I love it! I am a fountain pen enthusiast so I always like to have fun things to hold my pens and this is great. I wish I would have did a bit more fill to give it a little more weight. If I put any of my heavier pens in it too fast, it can tip over. Needed a lot of support and had a bit of issue on the bottom, but fortunately that isn't visible so still worth the effort of cleaning up. (edited)
