Project objectives

Inside the subject of TECHNOLOGY, students has to learn about design and print in 3D. This is a simple task to work that aspect. The students have to create a Key ring with TINKERCAD, export to STL, slice  with Repetier host and, finally, print it in 3D printer.

Required equipment

Laptop or computer to design the key ring, software office, Thinker cad and Repetier host and a 3d printer.

Project time schedule

The projects must be done individual or by little group. Firs the students have to design with Tinkercad. When it’s finished, they have to export to STL and Slice with Repetier host.

At the end of this process, there are 2 posibilities:

  • Print all the key ring 
  • Hold a contest and print the most voted designs

Workflow

5 sessions.

  1. Draw, scale and design with tinker cad: 3 sessions
  2. Convert the STL into GCODE: 1 session
  3. Print the different objects: 1 session and Out of classes

This session plan depends on the abilities of the students and must be adapted to the needs of the students.
