Printed this model with Eakins microscope. Added camera cold shoe mount on the top and experimented with a few adapters to mount a 7in HDMI LCD on the top. The bolt used for Eakins scope is 8mm and it does not require a nut on the other end. I'm very happy with the result.

I had a bit of elephant's foot on my prints and had to trim the insides to get the switch to fit. I forgot to mirror 2 brackets so my tops and bottoms don't quite line up. I'm mounting the switch in a gap between the wall and the end of a workbench so it doesn't matter in my case as you can only see the front, top bracket. I put a couple of velcro ties through the slots on the bottom brackets to help guide the cables that go behind the workbench.
@NevarroGuildsman Glad to see it worked - I forgot to mention that those slots are there for just that use case! :)
Nice design. Thanks for adding. My only comment is that the nickel-coated neodymium magnets will often, eventually rust out. I find the best match for aquarium use are the fully plastic coated magnets like: https://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=B888PC-AST
