I have the Monoprice Maker Select V2.1 and print using Octoprint. I have done some of the simple mods, but don't use it anymore.

I at first used Sketchup, but switched to Onshape, and now use Fusion 360.

I use a keyboard layout called colemak that is more efficient and comfortable to type on. (colemak.com)
