I was able to totally customize this shelf in about five minutes with NO prior knowledge of OpenSCAD by clicking-and-tweaking the parameters in the GUI. Sharing thousands of STL models is nice and all, especially you and I need exactly the same widget. However sharing parametric OpenSCAD models like this one feels kind of revolutionary! Mostly people need custom sized versions of the same basic things (shelves, boxes etc.), but most lack the skill to tweak parametric CAD models in Solidworks, Fusion360 etc..
I promise I have ZERO CAD skills, YET I made a custom shelf in minutes! (edited)
