The turret arcs have a tab that engages with the ship's peg. This keeps the turret from rotating freely, but allows you to easily turn the turret with the brush of a finger. All of the pieces slide in and out of the sides, top, and bottom of the dial cover. The target locks and be reinserted in any orientation and have an extremely satisfying click when they engage. Flying a small base ship? Use the medium/large base identifier to mark the pilot card. Do the opposite when flying a medium/large base ship. There's a hole in the dial cover to allow the faction logo to show through. The maneuver dials easily pivot in and out of the dial cover, but don't fall out no matter how hard you shake it.
