Credit to Eric Slotty on GrabCAD, and thank you for allowing me to remix your model!
I've adjusted this pistol grip shifter that I found on GrabCAD in order to replace my Logitech shift knob. Why? Because MOPAR OR NO CAR!!! I also just think it looks cool, and I don't think anyone has tried to do something like this yet. It isn't an exact replica but it looks close and is comfortable to use.
I recommend printing the grips in a wood PLA or wood color, and the cap and bar in a grey/metallic silk PLA to really make it look like metal. Mine is made of Wood Rainbow Inland PLA Matte for the grips, and MIKA3D Silk Metallic Silver Shiny PLA for the bar and cap. I believe I used .2 layer height which with the wood rainbow does look kinda like unstained wood in person. The assembly should just snap together, however screws are required to attach the cap onto the bar. Unfortunately I don't know what screws I used, but I believe I used guitar pick guard screws that I had lying around (really any small self tapping screws will work) I will update this BOM if I find out which screws work.
BOM:
1x Left Grip (printed)
1x Right Grip (printed)
1x Cap (printed)
1x Bar (printed)
2x Small self tapping screws (I used guitar pick guard screws)
Installation:
First remove your current knob. If it is still the standard one that comes with the shifter, you need to pry off the plastic cover on top and unscrew the M4 bolt that is underneath. The entire knob should come off or might need a little tap to get it off. The “bar” printed part has a hole on the bottom with one flat side or slot. Line that flat side with the flat side on the shifter itself and just slide it on.
In my experience it stays on pretty well, since you are only moving it forwards, backwards, and pressing downwards to get into reverse. However I might make an alternative version that threads on with an adapter or something if anyone is interested in that option.
VERSION 2 NOTES: I shrunk the inner diameter of the hole and now it stays on much better in my experience. Version 1 is still uploaded in the old versions folder if that one works for you.
The author remixed this model.
Removed holes on the grips, and completely revised the shifter bar to fit on a Logitech shifter.
