This is a small nest in which to place an egg. The photo shows the nest with a real brown egg.
Scale for other sized eggs. I put a real egg in it from the fridge, it generated quite a few laughs from family members!
At 100% scale these perfectly fit a normal chicken egg size of 53mm tall and 43.08mm wide as pictured.
I think this will be a fun thing especially for displaying colorful Easter Eggs, or to place Easter Eggs for a hunt so they don't roll around.
Palworld Nest
I made these originally for my Palword eggs as shown. I have also shared the common egg design here in another listing. These are both for non commercial use. The files cannot be rehosted on other platforms or remixed.
Use a light brown color. The key to this 'nest' appearance is to use a fuzzy skin so it is not smooth and looks rough like a bird laid down real straw. The model already includes some designed bumps all around the surface on all sides to add larger textures. However, the real benefit comes with adding a fuzzy skin smaller texture as well to make it look like straw. Showing layers lines here is a good thing as it wants to look rough and built up. The layer height should be a .25 layer height. No supports. A larger nozzle also helps and I print these with a .6 nozzle to add even more roughness.
In Prusalicer under print settings/layers and perimeters/go to the bottom and use these settings:
Fuzzy Skin - all surfaces
fuzzy skin thickness - .3mm
fuzzy skin point distance - .8mm
