A modular aquarium hanging corner filter I designed for my cube. Minimum size is approx. 18.5cmx7cm. However, you can use as many middle parts as desired and make it as tall as you wish (Uppermost middle part is reserved for the water pump but you can use all other for filtering bio media). A small water pump is required, I used an Aquatlantis EasyFlux 300 which I had laying around but you can find one from Aliexpress for a couple of euros.

I filled the lower part with Substrat Pro and the bottom of the middle part with a layer of filter wool. Hangers can fit glass up to 6mm and hold the filter approx. 2cm bellow the glass end.

Assembly Instructions:

Please follow the diagram in order to assemble the filter. Hangers are secured in place with the pins but you can also use some CA glue. You also glue the top section divider to the top section if you wish.

Printing Instructions:

I used PETG, 3 perimeters and 15% gyroid infill. Model is optimized for 0.2mm layer height and 0.4mm width.

Print all parts with same orientation and place them in the same position on the bed in order to have aligned seams and a tight fit. Light sanding may be required but I deliberately used zero tolerances in order to have all parts securely fit together.

I tried to minimize the need for supports, which are only needed for the middle and top parts:
