Elegoo Spool Drawer Organizer

Spool drawer parts bin for Elegoo filament spools with printable peg bolt and screw cap.

The hole in the box has been designed at 5.3mm and the peg bolts 4.9mm. The thread on the peg bolt and screw cap is M4. Depending on your printers accuracy the bolt may be a tight or loose fit. I recommend pre-screwing the cap on the peg bolt before fitting to help bed in the threads. A lot of people are having better results printing the peg caps at a scale of 102-105%.

I will look at adding additional boxes and a spinner stand to this thing in the future.

I have uploaded the .step file for users who wish to make modifications.

I have uploaded a half height drawer for two drawers in one.

I have uploaded, working, but experimental, parts bins that fit in the drawers. These can be printed in vase mode. Please note that the parts bin that includes the thumb hole, when printing in vase mode, causes a few visual defects/anomalies due to it reversing direction. It does work though.

Spool Compatibility

Not all the Elegoo spools are aligned top and bottom. This means the holes do not line up for the peg. You can first print a peg (or use an Allen Key) to check if the holes line up. If they don't then you will require pre-processing by drilling/punching out a hole that is lined up to the other one.

Test Print:

I would recommend printing the first 2 layers and then cancelling the print. You can use this thin piece to test for fitment and alignment around the spindle.
