Multiboard screw/bolt STEP files for modeling and dimensions (documentation)

This is not intended to be printed directly - but instead as a helper to model screws for the multiboard.

Important note: Multiboard now includes official STEP files, I recommend to use those when creating your own models in CAD software: https://www.multiboard.io/parts-library/remixing

Description: This is not intended to be printed directly. But I wanted to add bits to my multiboard (see https://www.multiboard.io/) and thus needed to model the screws (sadly there are not real STEP files released yet).

So this is for everyone to get on the ground running faster.

In addition to the STEP file I also included a PDF containing all the dimensions I used.

The files are split into two versions:

  • Dimensions and recreated STEP files created from STL files (original release version), when there was were no STEP files. I tried to round everything to “nice” values, as I didn't believe the measurements I took from the STL files. As I used CAD so work with mesh data those will be slightly off, but also will work just fine.
  • Dimensions are recreated STEP created from STEP files. The dimensions in this version is somewhat rounded to three decimal places, but use values that feel off a little bit (like 0.604mm instead of 0.6mm). The dimensions might also still slightly differ from the original parts, as the STEP files currently are broken and things don't line up 100%. Still this version will behave a lot more like what multiboard does. Differences are still marginal.

Note I only did measure the STL/STEP file dimensions, not copy any of the original file. The files you can download here are based on those dimensions, I recreated the screws based on my own documentation.

Credits to Jonathan (KeepMaking) for creating multiboard!
