PubParts OneWheel XR The Float Life WTF Rails to C&R or Stock Fender Adapters

General Information

These adapters provide an interface between the angled rail screw holes on the TFL XR WTF rails and a C&R magnetic mount fender or FM stock XR fender. Allows the fender to sit flatly on the rails instead of at an angle, and also provides the necessary clearance to keep the tire from rubbing against the fender.

Mounting and Installation

Multiple versions are currently available:

Standard WTF

• Pre-August-2023 | XR Standard WTF Rails to C&R Magnetic Fender Adapter
  • Mount with four 1" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails
• Pre-August-2023 | XR Standard WTF Rails to Stock Fender Adapter
  • Mount with four 1 1/8" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails
• Post-August-2023 | XR Standard WTF Rails to C&R Magnetic Fender Adapter. This model allows for two mounting methods:
  • Standard mount plate direction.
    • Mount with four 1" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails
  • Reversed mount plate direction.
    • Ensures no bend in the screws and no sideways pressure on the rail threads.
    • Mount with four 5/8" 10-32 hex screws into the rails, and four 1/2" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate into the adapter

Steep and Deep WTF

  • Mount with four 1" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails
• Post-August-2023 | XR WTF Steep and Deep to Stock FM XR Fender
  • Mount with four 1 1/8" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails
• Post-August-2023 | RAISED FOOTPAD VERSION of XR Steep and Deep WTF Rails to C&R Magnetic Fender Adapter
  • Designed for a slightly (1.25mm) raised 8mm (TFL Kush) footpad using a bottom metal plate.
  • Mount with four 1" 10-32 hex screws through the mount plate directly into the rails

Printing Instructions

Be sure to select the model that matches your fender - They have different tolerances, depths, and dimensions. Print in your preferred material with as much infill as you like, but here are some print settings recommendations:

• 30% or higher infill
• Supports enabled (I used zig zag for the support pattern)
• 20% or higher support density
• Support Interface enabled (I used grid for the interface pattern)
• Optional: Build Plate Adhesion enabled (I used brim for the adhesion type)
• Optional: 6 or more brim lines, to keep things adhered and sturdy

Once configured:

1. Print as the model lies, with supports.
2. Take ‘em off your print bed when they’re done and remove the supports.
3. Install on your board. It should fit right over any stock (8mm) clearance height foot pads. If you need a higher clearance one, let me know and I can provide one with a raised height! Additionally:
   • For the C&R magnetic fender mounts, place them on the rectangular top surfaces. Mount with a 1" 10-32 hex screw.
   • For the stock FM fender it will fit perfectly into the corners of the top surfaces. You may find the screw will sit slightly at an angle in the angled hole. If you want this to sit perfectly in the countersunk hole you'll need to drill into the fender further for an angled countersink. Mount with a 1 1/8+" 10-32 hex screw.
