“The interior of the cabin is almost entirely bare. The air is stale and musty and the floor and walls are painted in a fine layer of dust. The only furniture of note is a plain wooden table. Perched on that table is a pristine blade.
The blade is your implement. You'll need it if you want to do this right.”
This is my interpretation of the “pristine blade” as seen in Slay the Princess, a visual novel video game by Black Tabby Games. Due to the art style of the game, it was a bit difficult to get reliable reference for the shape/design of the blade, but I think the result matches fairly well.
Supports should only be needed for the blade pieces (only in the hollow where the inserts go), and for the guard piece (basically under the whole model). The insert piece is rather loosely fit into the blade and hilt.
Assembly should be pretty simple and only requires super glue and/or hot glue, and maybe some sandpaper.
For that authentic, in-game look, run a thick permanent marker along the sharp edges of the model.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
