Overview

Easy-to-make version. All parts have completely flat bottom surface. Also I checked necessary clearances, added place for velvet strip in the gate gap and made separate details for using it with thin 0.5mm metal or plastic dark slide.

• No supports at all!
• Works with 0.5mm dark slides
• Velvet strip for proper light sealing
• Use it as single or double holder: just print two of them and glue together. Or not.

Printing

Use something matte: black ASA, HIPS, matte PLA. Print all the parts as is. Make sure that you tuned your flowrate and PA to achieve the flat top surfaces. Use the fine tuned ironing if you can.
Cut the darkslide with the provided .svg from the 0.5mm A4 folder. Cut the 119x12mm paper rectangle. The best to use the small laser cutter/engraver for that.
Take the botom, middle and top parts and glue it together precisely.
Take the cap2 and put it into the holder. Put the darkslide on it's place, then put the cap1 onto cap2. That's the exact position where the cap parts must be glued together. Glue the paper rectangle. Done.
