I designed this adapter to mount a GPS or phone holder that use the AMPS holes pattern on a 28,6mm handlebar, and 4 screw and 3×5mm rilsan bracelets.
This diameter is the same on some naked bike such as MT-09 and is very common on off-road bikes.
This model is supposed to be printed with 2 materials :
- The AMPS plate with hard materials such as PETG, ABS ASA
- The two bracket that hold the handlebar need to be printed in flex materials, such as TPU, to get a strong adherance so the whole system will not rotate.
I provided 3 variations :
- A fork of the AMPS plate but for bigger screw than usual designed to be used with 4 rubbed dampening spacer. That's a design that use even on off-road riding to dampen a bit of vibration to prevent damage on phone stabilizer and moving parts inside a GPS I have no issues so far with it. I suggest to print theses spacer with no infill but larger wall perimeter than usual. It will lead to a bit of flexibility.
- AMPS plate without spacer, with 6,5mm diameter screw or less.
- AMPS plate without spacer, with 5,5mm diameter screw or less.
Fusion 360 Steps files are also provided if you want to modify the model for another handlebar.
