Design stolen from Deviator2x. Simple, functional, and small. Thanks!
- The V4 design is a parameterized Fusion 360 model that supports various tube widths. .stl and .gcode files are posted for 60mm wide toothpaste tubes and 120mm wide sour cream tubes (works for Daisy brand). If there is demand for other common widths, let me know. V4 also thickens the frame around the slot.
- Frame mod: The V3 frame design lays both the base and pawl down on the bed, resulting in a much improved and robust pawl. The ratchet-side of the frame is enlarged to give you a place to put your left thumb while turning the crank (tube pointing away from you).
- Key mod: The key is 6mm longer to allow for pushing it in to disengage the gear from the pawl for easy unloading (as suggested on Deviator2x's post “print the key at 108% length”).
- The gear / ratchet is unmodified. Super-glue it on.
Print the frame as shown in one of the posted pictures. With the pawl printed down on the bed it will have lengthwise long lines so that it wont break off in use. No supports needed. There is a flat on one side of the key - print it down. You may need to clean up the top side of the frame key holes if the key is tight. Excellent results in PETG.
Fusion 360 design files and Prusa Mini .gcode are provided.
