I have already published this design on Cults as paid, so if you want to support me go there and buy it. Thank you.
Two types of tassel makers with tassel sizes of 75mm,50mm or 30mm. Tassel_maker-xx.stl are more traditional versions of tassel makers, but I recommend printing tm_bow-xx.stl versions because I found them easier to work with.
Printing
Print from any filament with 4 or 5 perimeters and at least 20% infill. After printing make sure there aren't any imperfections, even small, sticking out because yarn will catch on them.
Using
You can also check out photos with instructions instead of this list.
- Cut a few centimeter long yarn of chosen color and put it on top slat and secure it in two hooks on the sides of the tassel maker.
- Start winding the yarn or string you choose around the tassel maker to make the main mass of the tassel. Don't tighten it too much, you won't be able to make the tassel tight enough after. The more you wind on, the better the tassel will look.
- Cut the yarn you are winding and then tie a tight knot with your yarn you put on the tassel maker in step 1. to hold each loop together.
- Cut another piece of yarn you used and loop it a few times around the middle part of the tassel loop using the slot in the tassel maker and thet tie tight knot and make sure this knot is really strong and tight. It holds the entire tassel together so make sure it's really tight.
- Cut the string loops and the bottom using the slot on the tassel maker and remove it from the maker.
- Using scissors cut the strings to the same length. Now you have the final product.
