It is well established that you can find old Kinects for really cheap. So how can they be recycled? The first and most popular option is 3D scanning, however, with the low quality meshes it produces, there really is not a whole lot of practical uses for these scans. Next option is as a webcam. The Kinect V2 has an amazing camera and can cost less than half the cost of an equal quality webcam. This monitor mount attaches to the back of existing monitors that have the 100 mm square hole pattern for mounting monitor stands with some height adjustability. This is a great idea if you need a decent webcam but don't want to spend more than $30 USD.
