Optimized Bambu Lab Accessory Storage Case

Style and Function

This little case was a hobby project of mine. Created using Onshape, all of the hinges, clasps and specialized storage fasteners were carefully designed, printed, tested and iterated multiple times in order to optimize their ability to hold the hot ends, nozzles, cutters, wipers, nozzles, glue and micro SD cards snug, while still allowing them to be released with ease.  The end result is this handsome and functional organizing case for your Bambu Lab spare parts, tools and accessories.

Printing and Assembly

Support required for two halves of inner and outer case, optional for the compartment lids. Brim required for hinges and clasps. Pull tabs should be printed solid (no infill) and can be folded to insert into the heat sink opening and to avoid being crushed by the lid. The two examples pictured were printed with the default 0.20mm settings, just tuned for the filament max volumetric flow and K value. Printing took approximately 16 hours across six prints. The design has been optimized to minimize the number of filament changes. Each surface with a different color has been designed as it's own part.    Not necessarily easy to do, but yields the best strength and color saturation.  Printed versions in the photos were printed on a cheapo carbon fiber textured build plate, and the black Bambu textured PEI plate respectively.  SCREW CLASPS ONTO THE LID BEFORE PUSHING THE INSERT INTO THE LID DURING ASSEMBLY.  It's a very snug, permanent fit, so there's no second chances. Use the short end of an L shaped hex key to drive the screws in. You'll need the following hardware:

12pcs  M3x5mm screws (pan head or socket head both work)

16pcs  6mmx3mm powerful magnet (for compartment lids)
