I built the rook 2020 and wanted a way to enclose my PSU so I don't accidentally come in contact with any wires.

I personally have it underneath so it doesn't stick out and take more space, but it can also be mounted to the sides. If you go for underneath like I did, I recommend these 10mm higher feet. Then there is versions for M3, M4 and M5 to mount it to the extrusion.

These holes are to add short M3 heat inserts. First you need to remove the sacrificial layer, did so theres no need for supports on that.

What you need:

  • 4x M3/4/5x8mm
  • 4x M3/4/5 T-Nuts
  • 5x M3x5mm to mount PSU (6mm could possibly work, but went with 5mm just to make nothing got in contact.)
  • 4-6x M3 short heat inserts (2 regular size can be used for power inlet)
  • 1x IEC320 C4 power inlet

The case doesn't fit the Ender 3 bed and similar printers, so made a 2 split version. Which works perfectly fine, the lid fit though.
