Hello,
for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.
Update 31.10.2024 - version 2.0:
- major redesign, all files replaced with new ones. Old files are in Version 1 folder,
- 17 models resulting in 17 parts (25 including 9 card dividers) in old design vs 11 models resulting in 17 parts (25 including 9 card dividers). Although there is the same amount of parts, teardown should be a lot easier as it's 1 layer insert (well, more like 1.25),
- around 777g on my current settings needed for 1st version vs 705g for 2nd version. 72g lighter! Not a lot, but on the other hand it's much more functional!
- I combined few holders into setup holder,
- I increased space for dices, resources,
- I added player holders - now everything related to 1 player is stored in one holder.
Supports:
- vertical storage,
- sleeves - 70 micron,
- Western Sea expansion,
- deluxe resources,
- should be enough space to hold also upgraded player components.
This insert features:
- 4 player holders - one for each player. It holds everything related to the the player, so cubes, houses, markers, small board, bag,
- setup holder - holds cards, tiles, large dices,
- setup dices and stars holder - holds setup dices and stars,
- dices and resources holder - holds resources and dices,
- spacer large tiles holder - holds large tiles.
Requirements:
- about 705g of filament (depends on your settings, I printed with 15% gyroid infill, 2 walls, 5 top and 3 bottom layers).
- at least 196mm x 134mm print bed.
Instructions:
Supports - no supports required.
- every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times),
- refer to pictures how to organize the box,
- Spacer_Large_Tiles_Holder, Card_Divider - 4 walls, no top & bottom, honeycomb infill 10%.
What future holds:
- I think this insert is done.
Enjoy!
