Do you hate when you open a baking soda box and the flimsy lid never closes again? Me too!

This lid will clip in and your soda box is now covered! There's also a lip inside that helps flatten out your measuring spoon.

Just cut open the box as usual to the crease, and cut ΒΌ" (6mm) from the lid flap. Tuck the flap underneath, and push the clip on. Bend the lid joint, and there you go! Sure, it's not perfect since cardboard will wear eventually, but just push the lid forward for more resistance.

At least in Canada, our baking soda boxes are the same, I'm hoping yours are too. It wouldn't be hard to resize either way.

I would definitely use PETG for flexibility of the joint. Print sideways as in the STL, but you may need some helper discs keeping things on the plate.

You'll need likely a bit of support for the front lip.

2023-08-21 Update:

Version 2! The hinge can wear out even with PETG, so instead of a more flexible hinge I just decided to incorporate a print-in-place hinge design. It's pretty small, shouldn't eat too much into accessable space for your spoon.
