@doeswhatninte_605129 The hotend (example E3DV6) sites waaaayy forward of the X axis rods. I can bring it back up to 15mm. Would any of that distance be beneficial to build space? Or is the Y axis position of the bed already factored that it, and I should keep the nozzle that far forward?
@MediaMan3D It looks good and works for my purposes, at least just comparing STLs in my slicer, but I believe the two reliefs on the sides are supposed to have holes for m2 screws rather than m3, if you plan to include this in the main release. Otherwise this is perfect for my use. Thanks so much for your help. I look forward to improving my printer with your design!
@doeswhatninte_605129 Here is an updated ZIP with V2 versions that are thinner. The Gantry Adapter gets you back 10mm. The Backplate gains back 2mm. I don't know if this second Backplate will work, but you definitely can use this thinner Gantry Adapter. There may still be tweaks needed based upon your test fitting. Please let me know either way so I can add to Hero Me Gen7.3.3 once validated. https://www.dropbox.com/s/7rk517jv7jop1bh/HMG7.3-HyperCube-Evolution-V2.zip?dl=0
@MediaMan3D after printing all the parts and testing, things work great with the v2 versions of all files. The holes at the edge of the backplate need to be reduced so the m2 screws can thread directly in to be compatible with the stock optical endstops, but I opted for mechanical endstops on my version. The fan ducts also required that the endstop flag be extended 5mm so here is the thing file https://www.printables.com/model/484085-hypercube-evolution-x-endstop-flag-5mm-extension Thanks again for taking the time to make the adapters to make this great design compatible!
Is there any plan to add a gantry mount for "stock" hypercube evolution? the mounting plate is different from the regular hypercube.
@doeswhatninte_605129 sure. Can you point me to a STEP or STL of the X carriage? With that I can make a Gantry Adapter pretty quickly.
@MediaMan3D https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2254103/files that's the thingiverse link. There's either Extruder_Mount_1.0.stl, or the rar archive has all of the files in ipt format
@MediaMan3D I should also note that there are four holes for dowel pins to locate the mount with one screw to secure it to the carriage

@MediaMan3D I would prefer to regain that 15mm on the y axis.
@doeswhatninte_605129 Ok, so I started the Gantry Adapter before your reply (I can make another that gives back as much as possible). Check this to see if this works for you. It is two STLs. The 'HMG7.3 HyperCube Evolution Gantry Backplate.stl' replaces the 'Extruder_Mount_1.0.stl'. Here is the DropBox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tqw79deuwzr1fby/HMG7.3-HyperCube-Evolution.zip?dl=0

@doeswhatninte_605129 Note, my STLs expect the use of threaded inserts. M3 4.6mm Outer Diameter by 4mm length. For the thinner Backplate, four holes need 3mm length. Here is a link to the ones I use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08T7M2H4S 4mm length https://cnckitchen.store/products/gewindeeinsatz-threaded-insert-m3-short-100-stk-pcs 3mm length
@MediaMan3D The v2 backplate fits nicely as well.
