The Creality Sonic Pad comes with 2 kickstand style feet to set it on a desk, but no other mounting solution.
I designed a mount which will retain the kickstand style functionality, but also give the ability to mount using the S1 Pro factory screen mounting location. (I believe the S1 has the same mounting pattern)
You will need to invert the Sonic pad screen. (Configure → Other Settings → Advanced Options → Flip the screen)
02/22/2025- Update - added new versions of the kickstand.
- 5 Versions of the Kickstand - all compatible with support foot (all marked v11)
- Mount
- Connector
- Support Foot w/ 3 different Lengths
- Jam nut for support foot to stop at a particular height (optional)
- Retro fit nut which can snap into existing kickstands without reprinting
: 04/29/2023- Update - working on 4 new versions of the kickstand itself - more to come.
- Added new Kickstand version which is a U shape - completely removing one crossbar for users whom do not want to deal with routing wires above/below the bar.
- NOTE - strongly recommend 4 walls and min of 10% infill to add rigidity and compensate for the open U shape.
- Print time w/ suggested settings @ 100mm/s is roughly 2.5 hrs & 41grams of filament.
- File Name: SonicPad_Kickstand_U-Shape
04/23/2023- Update
- Updated Mounting Bolt & Nut to a 14mm size, significantly more coarse threads, changed print orientation to increase tensile strength due to print layer arrangement.
- Updated Short Forward mount to accommodate new mounting bolt & nut.
- Updated kickstand to add extra clearance around ports/wires + added triangular divots for zip ties.
- Note - Printing a new kickstand is not required to use the new bolt/nut/mount. The v3 stand will work with the latest connection.
- The bolt/nut comes with 2 nuts (lol) - the purpose of this is so you can print 2, and use them as a jam nuts - the purpose of a jam nut is to prevent the bolt from loosening as the pad is swiveled.
My Print Settings
PLA.
25% Gyroid infill
.2 layer height
5 perimeters
5 top/bottom layers
No supports
Infill is most likely overkill - part came out way stronger than really needed. 10% should suffice.
Here’s another version w/ GoPro Style Mount
Big Shoutout to Embrace Making‘s Spool Holder. Printing this inspired the Bolt/Nut upgrade.
