1st Gen Google Nest Hello 45-degree Camera Mount

Got a need to mount a Google Nest Hello by your front door, but the wall where your doorbell currently lives is perpendicular to the door? Well, this mount is intended to give the camera the ability to crane it's cold glass eye around for a better view.

The mount projects the camera about 15mm from the mounting surface and then tilts it 45 degrees out. I found that with this camera's field-of-view, this gave me a great look at my front door and the front of our property.

I made it so the openings for the screws were within the body of the mount which is why the opening for them is a little weird. I found a standard, general purpose screw worked just fine, once the holes are pre-drilled. Because of the odd shape of the opening, you'll need to find a screwdriver which fits without making a hash of the surrounding plastic.

When you mount the plate that accommodates the Camera itself, you'll want to mark the holes first and then pre-drill before attempting to just drive those fasteners home.

Once on it feels nice and sturdy. My house specifically has wide, cedar lap siding with a roughly 11 degree pitch.

In the model files I included the DXF I used to generate the profile. You know, for kicks and giggles mostly.

Print instructions

Print this one with the "A" logo facing down and that's about all there is to it; supports were unnecessary.

I used the following:

• PrusaSlicer
• .2 mm, Quality default setting.
• 4 Perimeters.
• White, Overture PETG filament.
