Description:
I loved the cat ghost that ncsandor made, so remixed it with a hollow body that should be big enough for a tealight. I also created a channel on the side to fit the wires for other lights.
Printing:
I printed my example with Formfutura PLA and 100% as I wanted no light to come through and for it to survive being put into the Halloween decoration box. I wouldn't put a real tealight inside, but I did make it to put a battery version we had at 38mm x 16mm which can be found here, scale up if you're unsure. I also printed with a brim as what touches the bed is small and I have had enough blobs to last a lifetime, however if you trust your bed, you might be able to get away without a brim.
Happy Halloween!
P.S. I did paint my example with just The Army Painter matt white primer.
Update 28 Oct 2022
User Mammanta's daughter had an interesting idea of being able to see the cat inside when the light is on. I have been experimenting with the idea. The first step I have taken is adding a nose and whiskers on the inside of the model. I did a test print and it was visible, sadly all I had on hand that would show light through was PETG so the detail was lost. Because of that I cannot say for 100% the the nose and whisker version will print as intended. Though I thought I would upload it for others to give it a try while I wait for some translucent PLA.
Update 11 Oct 2024:
Still working on getting the Lithophane of the cat skeleton to work.
While working on that I thought it would be cool to add some printable hats. First up I have added a witches hat. I recommend printing it with a brim, and then using that brim for the hats brim for that extra wide brimmed look. I plan on adding a few more hats so this little ghost cat will be ready for a lot more holidays.
The author remixed this model.
Hollowed out for a tealight and created a channel for wired lights.
