Remixed the idea of a fastener sorting tray to fit to my fastener storage system:
I keep my fasteners in jars hung up by their lids (image). I have jars for rough genres as “small sized metric screws” or “washers”, rather than a jar for each type/size (I call that "semi-organized"). This system saves space and time in tidying up, the parts are well visible in the jars and the cost is low to none.
However, to get a desired screw, I needed to pour the content of a jar to my workbench and sort it out. Then, I wiped all unneeded fasteners back to the jar over the edge of the workbench - and half of the parts were falling to the floor …
These days are now gone! I pour the jar content to the sorting compartment of the tray, sort out what is needed and pour it back into the jar.
Model uses about the whole 21 x 25 cm footprint of my printer. I printed it in PETG for more robustness. Small supports were necessary at the beaks. Had no adhesion problems, used the satin steel sheet.
