I've released the finished model. Latest model is RTI Mora Cheek Rest V3.3.

  • Fixed a size mistake between the slot and edge of the left side.
  • Added RTI Logo to the face for fanciness.
  • Reduced thickness to 4mm
  • Fixed the reinforcement not going to the edges.

I recommend printing in PLA+ then giving it a little rubberized coating. Infill, 100% for maximum stiffness.

I've tried printing in PETG-CF, and while they're 95% great, supported edges came out messy so I don't recommend. Unless you have your settings dialed better than me.

This was mostly a hold-over project until the official cheek rests came in the mail. But I'm now done, done I say!

OLD Description below:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Updated the file. Modeled after having gotten my hands on the official cheek rest. Less of a 90 degree angle on the flat section, helps with strength. Really only here in case the OEM one somehow breaks and you'd like to replace it.

Mostly copied from looking at the official cheek rest in promotional images. Requires an M4x0.70 thread screw. I recommend using 12mm for the length.

It's 5mm thick as the original design of 3mm was too flimsy. Added some measuring bits for consistency.

I recommend cutting off the other side bit in the slicer and printing it on its side. Laying it down on a face leaves a lot of sanding to be had, whereas printing on the side is nearly perfect. PETG-CF, PCTG, and PLA are good choices. The stiffer/stronger the better.
