hi @GiuseppeRand_1165957, thank you for the dedication to printing, testing, and documenting your efforts. It's appreciated.
Prints in PLA will work fine for light models or as a sacrificial crumple-zone for a part. I really recommend TPU or PETG for best performance after recent testing on my new Bambu printer.
I've just finished working on my latest version that may be even more useful for you: https://www.printables.com/model/555104-dji-o3-camera-frame
Also there are many links to my discord and telegram on all my designs– I'm always making custom tailored versions and helping people with tweaks.
Hello,
This kind of my first real breakdown. Please do not take any offense if I make cause you any that is not my intention. Just want to let you know my findings.
Blue ones are printed in
Bamboo PLA silk
0.4 mm nozzle
.2 standard print process
it is a little loose, but can definitely work with it. Tried printing in different orientations due to some easy fracturing, but that could be because I 4 up by object.
The white ones are printed in hatch box PLA, with an object scale of 98%. Utilizing the same AMS unit with the relative humidity of under 30%.
They do seem to fit A-LOT better. They actually snap into place around the lens, offering some pretty decent protection I also slowed down the print speed by 50% (down and dirty way of doing it is just putting it on silent mode.)
I’ll finish later need to go to work.
TPU of both models are being printed now
I did a very unscientific toughness test by placing a frying pan on top of all eight prints, and pushing down ever so slightly
The prince that were oriented east west failed horribly ones that were oriented north south held up great I I did not put a 185 pounds of weight on it. just put enough pressure till I hurt cracking.
TPU prints are looking great. Can’t wait to try them out. (edited)
