This replaces the useless glow-y top from a Ubiquiti Unifi Security Gateway (USG-3P) with a mount that can hold a 40mm fan. Use any 12V 40mm fan and solder it straight to the pins of the power connector inside the case.
After several years of reliable service, my USG-3P was rebooting sporadically resulting in ~3-5 minute internet outages. I tried replacing the power supply but it didn't help. I took the thing apart and noticed it ran quite hot, so I just pointed a fan at it and that solved the problem. So I designed this part to permanently hold a fan
As of publishing I'm at 154d of uptime on that same formerly-flakey USG-3P. This was a lot cheaper than buying a Dream Machine and saved this hardware from the garbage!
Update: 323d uptime!
