My Original Prusa Enclosure had a bit of echo when printing so I wanted to try the concrete patio slab/paver ‘mod’ to quiet things down and it seems to help.

I already had a 45x45cm concrete patio slab/paver that I was using before I got the enclosure.

The weight of the Prusa printer and slab/paver would be a lot for the bottom sheet of the enclosure, so I made a simple design with Tinkercad to support them both.

Remove the four dampers that you had to hold your printer in position inside the enclosure. These middle feet screw in from underneath using M3x12 screws. Place the slab/paver towards the front of the enclosure.

If like me you keep the LCD screen on your Prusa printer inside the enclosure, it also makes it easier to get to and see the screen as it is now raised up a bit by the slab/paver…

It takes ~3 hours to print all four of the middle feet on a Prusa MK4 with 0.4 nozzle using 0.30mm DRAFT and 15% Infill.

Additional materials:

  • 4 of M3x12 screws
  • 8 of 5x5cm 5mm high non-slip furniture pads (I used these), 4 for the feet and 4 for under the slab/paver to raise it up over any cables running to the front enclosure external electronics

Hope you find this to be useful as well and Happy Printing!
