I bought a handful of USB breakout boards from Banggood, and I needed a way to Mount them inside my project boxes.

Mine in particular have 17x17mm PCB's.

This one includes a spacer in case the box has thin walls and the USB port sticks out too far although you can simply thicken the plate inside your slicer program.

I've also mixed this mount to create a cable end housing, great for making your own extensions:

Cutting out the hole

I generally use a reamer to carve a hole just big enough for the USB port, then using the front plate as a template, drill 2mm holes for the 1.6mm screws.

Depending on the screw, you may need to open up the holes with a reamer or fine drill bit, or use your slicer to print larger holes.
