This is a 3D fractal loosely based on the 3D Sierpinski gasket. The octahedral voids that the 3D Sierpinski gasket are recursively filled with arrangements of spheres. If the recursion were to go infinite, it would create the sharp edges of the tetrahedron.
You will need to print this with support because there are 5 captive spheres on the interior that are not connected to the matrix of spheres.
