This was designed as a pill box that would fit into a Scho-ka-kola tin, but said tin isn't necessary to use it. Originally friction was intended to keep the lid from moving around on it's own, but the design was modified to use a spring-loaded detent which locks the lid in place when closed.

The spring came from an assortment from a big-box hardware store, and its diameter fits just inside the wedge shaped cavity with a flat bottom.

To open the box, just depress the wedge shaped lock and turn the lid to the desired position.
