This is a full remix of the excellent Dyson tool wall mount bracket by richieclarkie (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4097193).

I needed a stronger version because the brackets with screw holes had a 90-degree angle which was a weak point and had started to break off after a couple of weeks use.

I also wanted a version that didn't need supports.

Given how awkward it is to modify stl files, I created this from scratch in Fusion 360, utilising all the same design benefits that richieclarkie included such as an easy to remove support ring. As you can see from one of the pictures, I went through quite a few prototypes to get the fit just right.

I have included STEP files as well so that you can more easily make your own remixes.

The clip files help cover the gap at the front of the bracket (updated to fit the new, stronger design) and look much better for it.

  • V4 - Added extra ribs on the outside brackets to give them more strength. Credit goes to @WoodBeNice_392957 for the tip and @TaylinDean_318294 for reminding me about it! I've made the deeper (extra 1cm) bracket model the default now and removed the older shorter version.

  • Uploaded additional brackets with an extra 1cm depth for tools such as the small motorised Dyson v15 hair screw tool.

This updated version is a major design overhaul!

  • A much stronger frame with crossed braces to prevent sagging
  • An 8-way tool holder to give more flexibility
  • Multiple sized connection collars (that no longer require supports). Mix and match different heights to find the optimal tool holding combination.

Connection collar caps for those empty spaces blocked by other tools

Printing notes

None of the models require supports

  • Connection bracket has 60% infil, and 100% around the brackets that attach to the wall (see here for a tutorial on how to use Support Blockers in Cura and attached screenshot as an example - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su\_m5zV9rvA)
  • Connection collars printed at 40% infil
  • I've designed the connection collars and brackets to be a snug fit, so if the first few layers have a slightly squashed lip to them, or an accessory doesn't fit into the hole, you'll need to sand the lip down so that it's smooth on the inside edge (see one of the images).
  • *Don't forget to remove the upper support strip from the connection bracket (see picture)
  • Layer height is 0.2mm
  • Set Z Seam Position to the Back of the models
