LED Matrix (16x16) in picture frame Ikea SANNAHED fully integrated

The grid is used from the original creator of the idea. As a basis the IKEA Pictureframe Sannahed (35x35cm) is used to integrate the LEDs. I use it as a nightlamp in the Bedroom to show the current time. With the Wifi module and the 16x16 LED grid that can display every thing the limitation is your programming skills ;-)

How to assemble:

1. The LEDs need to be placed on a backplate that is cut to the frames dimensions (35x35). To help with the alignment draw a cross in middle and hold the Template to the right and left side with the middle line. 
2. After the LEDs are placed and the grid is printed use the EdgeHolders and hotglue to fixate everything. Remove the printed grid and solder the 5V, GND and the communication line.
3. Place it behind the glas in the frame and use the 5 Spacer parts behind the ledplate and at last take the IKEA frame backplate.

Hardware:

• ESP8266 board (Wifi is used for the current time)
• 5 meters of WS2812b (5V) 60LEDs/m IP30
• IKEA Pictureframe Sannahed (35x35cm) 
• Wires for the connection of the LEDs 
• USB-A cable for connection to the integrated controller and Power supply via USB

To print:

• The parts for the Grid according to the original Post
• Edge holder to fixate the grid on top of the LEDs
• Spacer:
  • 4 x SpacerOuterPart
  • 1 x SpacerInnerPart
• 1 x TemplateLEDspace for aligning the LED strips
