Description

PDF

A (mostly) realistic model of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. It comes in four layers that are individually printed (with alignment pins) so there is no extreme bridging or supports required. It also lets you see inside each layer for educational purposes.

This was designed as a teaching aid for my partner who is an English teacher.

You can check out more information about my 3d printing journey here: wigglememore3d.com

Print settings:

  • Scale - whatever fits on your print bed, would not recommend less than 30% otherwise small details could be lost
  • Layer height 0.2mm
  • 2 perimeters
  • 2 bottom and 3 top layers (4 would be better)
  • 10% adaptive grid infill
  • eSun White PLA+ at 208/65 degC
  • Supports not needed apart from the edge of the roof section (or you can just let it 'fail' on that section and snip off the ugly bits like I did)
  • Post-printing you might need to enlarge the alignment pin holes with a 6mm drill bit
  • 100% fan from layer 3
