***UPDATE***
I've had a couple of suggestions come in (thank you @Roman_1037762!) that I'd like to implement over the next couple of days. The first of which is a clockwise flow for folks south of the Equator. Or maybe you just have a thing for clockwise water flow… I won't judge! Anyways, the new Southern Hemisphere version is posted. The next one is going to take a bit to mess with and, since I don't have enough folks in my Club, yet, I need to get ready for my day job. See you soon!
Now Improved!
*A single print - no more gaps between parts making it watertight where it needs to be
*Improved drainage - basin walls are stronger and won't “split”
*Better outer “scaffolding” and cleaner outer wall transitions - can be printed with minimal supports (I painted mine on at the center of the bowl and the funnel attachment arm)
*Internal 1 mm support within the elbow - further minimizes print supports for a better print-in-place experience
*Prints a little less than 20% faster as a single print versus individual parts
*85.25 meters of filament versus 90 meters - every little bit counts, right???
This took a lot longer than I thought it would, partly because the initial process being used was terrible. Lessons learned!
**Note, I didn't scale the model before slicing. To get the best size, i.e. smaller so it fits nicely in your kitchen cabinet or larger so it scales to the largest possible size for your printer bed, take a moment to adjust the scale. YMMV**
One more thing... I didn't print two, I used thermochromatic filament so Orange is Cold and Yellow is Warm.
Der Autor hat dieses Modell remixed.
