I was inspired by the many designs for RJ45 repair clips, but they all suffered the same issue - the retainer part was bulky, fragile and never fitted my oddball collection of cables. They also required supports.
The cable tie method fits almost all cables without modification, is more robust and is easy to fit. Some makers have also successfully used super glue instead of a cable tie.
I suggest printing in PETG at 0.15mm layer height using the standard Arachne perimeter generator in the new slicer and put some forward tension into the cable tie before final tightening (see photo) to ensure the clip is seated into the notch at the front of the RJ45 connector. :)
